26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Lilac, pink + gold

Hi all!

This week we're pairing lilac, pink and gold. I wasn't too thrilled about gold, because I dislike anything gold coloured really. It's just not for me, I prefer silver. But I managed to add it in such a way that it wasn't too obnoxious for me.

Polishes:
  •  Polish My Life - Muscat Martini
  • Barry M - Gelly - GNP20 Rose Hip
  • L.A. Girl - 3D Effects - Dazzling Pink
  • Kaleidoscope - Stamping 01 Black
  • Mundo de Unas - 17 Gold
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

I used two stamping plates, Bundle Monster's BM-606 and MoYou London's Mother Nature 04.

Base: 2 coats of Muscat Martini. I stamped with the gold stamping polish and the tiny triangles from BM-606. I made stamping decals with the dainty looking flowers from the other stamping plate and both pink polishes. I stuck those on and topped it all with Elemental Ward.

I hope you like this mani, I'm still not sure about the gold, but it wasn't too obvious in this mani.

Love, Brethil

Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Green - Minty Leopard

Hi all!

My second green mani for this month is with a special one-of-a-kind polish, one of the orphan polishes I rescued from Lucky 13 Lacquer. Orphans are those polishes that are prototype "fails", yet lovely all the same.

Polishes:
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - A Little Encourage-Mint
  • Born Pretty - #18 Green
  • Kaleidoscope - stamping 06 Mint
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Stamping plate I used is Hēhē 076.

Base: 2 coats of Encourage-Mint. I did some double stamping with both stamping polishes and ended with top coat.

Isn't this a lovely orphan?

I hope you liked this simple mani with a lovely polish!

Love, Brethil

Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Green - Contour glitter map

Hi all!

This month is all about green. I was needing some glitter and this mani happened. Mint green is green after all.

Polishes:
  • NYC - 035 Cupcakes and Latte
  • Barry M - GTNP4 Catwalk Queen
  • Kaleidoscope - Stamping 06 Mint
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

I also used Hēhē stamping plate 091.

Base: 1 coat of Cupcakes and Latte topped with 2 coats of Catwalk Queen. I topcoated and then stamped the contour map image with the mint stamping polish from Kaleidoscope. I added some more Catwalk Queen here and there to make it more interesting and then topcoated again.

Glittery nails do make me happy! What do you think?

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Yellow and 1 bold colour

Hi all!

For some reason the amount of mani's I do exceeds what I manage to get online.... my vault is growing... ugh. Anyways, this week's prompt is about Yellow and 1 bold colour. I paired the palest of yellows with bold blue dots.

Polishes:
  • Polish My Life - Rays of Sun
  • Barry M - GNP5 - Blueberry
  • Barry M - GNP27 - Damson
  • Barry M - GNP17 - Blue Grape
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Base: 2 coats of Rays of Sun. With a dotting tool I added the blue dots. Sealed it all in with top coat.

This yellow is so lovely, it's the palest yellow I own and very opaque. Gotta love that Polish My Life creme formula.

Hi all!

This month I've even got a third Spring mani for you, more pastel goodness. Today a subtle mermaid look.

Polishes:
  • Femme Fatale - Opal Coast
  • Cirque - Book of Shadows
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Base: 2 coats of Opal Coast or 3 coats of Book of Shadows. I applied some Whats Up Nails mermaid scale nail vinyls and then sponged on the other polish. Top coated with Elemental Ward.

I really enjoyed this subtle mermaid look. What do you think?

Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Spring - Pastel plaid

Hi all!

Spring is here and so is a craving for pastel nails. I noticed an Essence limited edition in my local drugstore and got some items. To see the comparison of before and after the powder, check out this pic I posted on Instagram a while ago.

Polishes:
  • Barry M - Gelly - GNP28 Rose Hip
  • Boulevard - Denim Style - silver (not named)
  • Kaleidoscope - Stamping - 22 silver
  • Kaleidoscope - Stamping - 81 bisque
  • Essence - LE Blossom Dreams - rosy reflections
  • Essence - LE Blossom Dreams - mirror, mirror on my nails...
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Stamping plate I used is Hēhē 074.

Base: either 2 coats of Rose Hip or 2 coats of the silver polish. When those were dry I added the powders, I used the iridescent powder on the pink nails, and the mirror powder on the silver nails. I did top coat them with Essence blossom dreams waterbased top coat, but I apparently didn't photograph it. I stamped a few nails and then used Elemental Ward.

The powders didn't wow me though, perhaps they'll do better on top of gel polish. I'll have to try that sometime. What do you think?

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Pastel to bold gradient with something on top

Hi all!

This week, besides being on time for a change, I've got a very bold and more summery mani for you. Our prompt is Pastel to bold gradient with something on top. And bold means neon today, neon is about as bold as you can get in colours.

Polishes:
  • Kaleidoscope - stamping 81 Bisque
  • Kaleidoscope - stamping 73 Coral
  • Kaleidoscope - stamping 01 Black
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer

I also used both Ikat images from the Hēhē stamping plate 077.

Base: 1 coat of Bisque. Next I sponged on a gradient with Bisque and Coral. I stamped on the ikat patterns with the Black stamping polish. I sealed it all in with Elemental Ward.

I really enjoyed wearing these bold nails, I wore them for 4 or 5 days.

Love, Brethil
